Banana Bread Recipe (No Baking Soda)

Banana bread

Banana bread without baking soda is a delightful twist on the classic recipe, offering a denser but equally moist and flavorful loaf. By using baking powder as the leavening agent, the bread still rises nicely, creating a soft, tender crumb that perfectly complements the sweetness of ripe bananas. This version is ideal for those who prefer a more compact texture or who simply don't have baking soda on hand. The rich banana flavor shines through, especially when enhanced with a hint of vanilla and cinnamon. Whether enjoyed fresh out of the oven or as a snack throughout the week, this banana bread is a comforting treat that's easy to make and sure to satisfy.

  • 1/2 cup milk or buttermilk (120ml)
